Tilia platyphyllos is a deciduous ornamental tree with a broad, regular, rounded crown; well-distributed branches and a straight trunk give the plant a balanced and decorative appearance, suitable for urban and landscape contexts.
The leaves are large, heart-shaped, with a serrated edge and a whitish, slightly hairy underside.
In summer, between June and July, fragrant cream-yellow flowers bloom, rich in nectar and highly valued by bees. Tilia platyphyllos is, in fact, a nectar-rich plant ideal for supporting biodiversity.
In autumn, the foliage takes on warm golden hues.
An ideal plant for urban spaces given its resistance to pollution. It tolerates cold temperatures as low as -25°C very well.
