Vitex First Editions ‘Delta Blues’ is a compact variety, appreciated for its spectacular flowering, tidy growth habit, and hardiness.
This deciduous and bushy plant reaches a height of about 1.5 to 2 meters and has palmate, green, and slightly aromatic leaves, which give it an exotic and elegant appearance.
During the summer, from June to September, it is covered with large bluish-purple flower spikes that have a strong visual impact, attracting bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, making it an excellent choice for low-maintenance gardens focused on biodiversity.
It prefers full sun exposure, an essential condition to ensure abundant and long-lasting flowering. It is very drought-resistant once well established and tolerates poor soils, as long as they are well-drained. Maintenance is minimal: a light pruning at the end of winter is enough to stimulate new growth and flowering.
Thanks to its compact habit, it is ideal both for borders and mixed flowerbeds, as well as a specimen plant or in pots on sunny terraces and balconies. Moreover, it stands out for its good hardiness, easily withstanding low winter temperatures.
Vitex First Editions ‘Delta Blues’ is the perfect choice for those who want a splash of summer color, a striking decorative impact, and a hardy plant that requires minimal care.
