Parrotia persica ‘Vanessa’ is a deciduous tree known for its columnar, upright habit and decorative foliage, which in autumn turns into spectacular shades: from golden yellow to orange and purple-red.

This plant adapts well to both small gardens and tree-lined avenues thanks to its orderly growth and narrower crown than the typical species.

In winter, when the plant is bare, the gray-brown bark peels away, revealing lighter colors that add extra ornamental interest.

At the end of winter or early spring, before the leaves emerge, small red flowers bloom in clusters—unobtrusive but decorative up close.

This plant is resistant to temperatures up to -20°C and tolerates drought and heat up to 35°C.
