It can reach a height of between 10 and 15 meters, with an average width of 6-8 meters. The canopy develops in a regular and symmetrical way, maintaining a slender and orderly profile even as it ages.

The leaves are light, finely pinnate or bipinnate, consisting of numerous small leaflets that give the entire plant an airy and translucent effect in the light. During the growing season, the foliage appears in a bright, vibrant green, which transforms into a golden yellow in autumn, creating an attractive ornamental display.

The flowering, which occurs between late spring and early summer, is modest: small, yellow-green flowers, not very showy, gathered in racemes. One of the most interesting features of this cultivar is the absence of thorns, a typical trait of the species, and its low production of pods, making the tree particularly “clean” and suitable for public spaces where the dropping of fruits might cause inconvenience.

Gleditsia triacanthos ‘Skyline’ tolerates poor, compact soils, even slightly saline ones, and withstands long periods of drought once well-rooted. It is resistant to wind, intense heat, air pollution, and typical conditions of urban areas. It does not require special care and has good resistance to diseases and pests. Pruning is rare and is limited to the removal of dead branches or shaping when necessary.

It is ideal for urban landscaping, public and private gardens, street tree planting, and areas subject to challenging environmental conditions.
